The Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to be part of an organisation dedicated to nation-building renewable energy projects that will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
In your new role, you will take the lead in designing and implementing the technology platforms that underpin our digital ecosystem. This involves collaborating closely with key business stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand their requirements. Your responsibilities will include defining infrastructure technology architectures and roadmaps to support Transgrid's current and future growth objectives across various platforms and technologies.
As the Platform Architect, you will leverage a diverse skill set in networking, end-user computing, cloud, and hybrid infrastructure to fulfill your role effectively. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with IT operations and service management teams to develop strategies and plans for implementing automation, resilience, recovery, and performance management across Transgrid’s Azure and hybrid infrastructure services.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess hands-on experience in developing Platform Architectures and complex systems, along with a proven track record of operating in corporate and regulated environments. Strong problem-solving abilities, analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail are also essential for success in this role.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in IT, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience
- Relevant Architectural and technical qualifications – TOGAF, Zachman
- Proven experience in Corporate and regulated environments, can work individually and as a team member.
- Knowledge of non-functional aspects of IT Architecture (Performance, Resilience, Availability, Security etc.)
- Strong problem-solving ability, analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of people.
- Highly competent in working autonomously.
- Thrives in being creative and using constraints as an enabler for innovative outcomes.
