Job Description
Nine uses a variety of Cloud providers to provide content to its audiences. We operate a large number of AWS accounts which are used directly by a variety of business users and Product Engineering teams in order to meet business goals.
We are looking for a experienced Platform Engineer specialising in AWS Services to assist us in managing the lifecycle of our Cloud provider accounts and service usage within them. We are in the process of a large scale Control Tower implementation which seeks to:
Improve our overall Cyber security observability, posture for the accounts and its related services
Assist the business in consuming Cloud services in a secure, repeatable manner and ensure standards are compliant and supported “as a product”
Assist in the Network plumbing between accounts and on-premise infrastructure using Transit Gateway
Qualifications
You will have a passion for automation and take Cyber Security and Cloud Infrastructure seriously. You will have a strong “customer first” mentality and be comfortable in assisting first time Cloud users of all levels. You will have excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Ideally you are based in Sydney, NSW - but we are open to remote applicants.
What we would like to see on your resume:
AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional highly regarded
Extensive experience in AWS infrastructure design and management, with a focus on account governance
Experience provisioning and managing Cloud Services “as code” using: CDK, Terraform, Cloudformation, Saltstack, Ansible etc. via Jenkins, Teamcity, Github Actions, Bitbucket Pipelines etc.
Experience using a wide variety of AWS products in production environments
Experience in managing a multi-account AWS environments using the AWS Organisations and ideally Control Tower products
Demonstrable understanding of the various Security Standards & Controls available within AWS & it's various products to meet CIS Foundations, PCI-DSS and Foundational Security Best Practices standards
Comfortable writing in a variety of languages such as: Shell, Python, TypeScript / NodeJS, Ruby & Go
Exposure and experience with MS Azure and GCP is highly desired
