Job description

The role
The Naval Combat Systems 9LV Platform is a Linux based secure runtime platform upon which the 9LV CMS runs, and in which CMS and other product development and test is carried out, worldwide.
The Pipeline Product consists of the 9LV Platform-specific development pipelines, development Tools and infrastructure.
The Platform Tools and Pipeline Lead will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, test and documentation of Platform toolchain, pipelines, development Tools and build infrastructure, supporting Naval Combat Systems projects with the 9LV CMS computing platform in Australia and worldwide, in collaboration with the global 9LV Pipeline and Platform teams.
Further, the successful candidate will:
  • Act as the Saab Australia Product Owner for the Pipeline product
  • Participate in close collaboration with the global Pipeline team, informing and guiding global development as required
  • Work with the local Platform team, CMS project teams, and integration team as required
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with local and global stakeholders
  • Plan, prioritise and deliver assigned tasks within the agreed scope, and schedule
  • Reporting on task progress
Flexible work arrangements such as hybrid work from home / office and 9 day fortnight will be considered for this role.
About you
Your skills and experience will include:
  • Experience with the products, development environment and the tools used to develop and support the software.
  • Well-developed communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Good problem solving skills and the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions
  • Broad understanding of technology and technology trends
  • Significant experience in software integration, continuous integration/delivery, test automation and DevOps Tools and workflows covering technologies such as Jenkins
  • Experience with configuration management and automatic deployment tools such as Ansible, AWX
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain an NV1 clearance.
