Due to the constant expansion of our Defence division, Downer has an opportunity for a highly experienced Plumber to join our team located at Kokoda Barracks in Canungra The purpose of this role is to provide Estate Upkeep Services, in accordance with Estate Upkeep Contract Deliverables, that contribute to
- Delivery, operation, and protection of Defence Capability
- Safe use of Defence Land, Facilities, and equipment
- Protection of the environment and heritage
- Key duties will also include, but not limited protection of Defence's reputation.
The Estate Upkeep Service Technician- plumber, under limited direction from the EU works Manger, will deliver performance Based Maintenance/ operations, scheduled maintenance/ operations and Responsive Maintenance/ Operations, to infrastructure, buildings and equipment in the defence Estate.

ABOUT YOU
QUALIFICATIONS
- Cert III Plumbing (or equivalent)
- QBBC License Plumber and Drainer - Occupational
- Gas Work License (Type A) (preferable)
- License Endorsements - Backflow Prevention, Thermostatic Mixing Valve, Solar and Heat Pump (preferable)
- Valid driver's licence with no restrictions
- Current first aid certificate - preferred
- Work at Heights Qualification - preferred
- Safe Work in Confined Space Qualification - preferred
- Suitability for Defence security clearance (Australian Citizenship Mandatory)
EXPERIENCE
- A minimum 3-5 years' experience post trade within a facilities maintenance environment (preferable)
- High level knowledge in plumbing industry standards
- Experience in responding to and satisfying customer requests
- Experience using hand or power equipment
- Experience in safety management tools i.e. Take 5, JSA's, SWMS's and hazard reporting
- Basic computer skills
