Pastry Cook/Baker (Full time, Permanent)
Dolce & Salato brand, owned and operated, by Guru Brothers Cafe and Restaurant Pty Ltd, is renowned for its handcrafted signature cakes, breads, buns, and savories, meticulously prepared from the freshest, top-quality ingredients, following authentic Italian recipes. Situated in South Fremantle, Western Australia 6162, we pride ourselves on delivering an unparalleled culinary journey to our patrons.
Currently, we are on the lookout for a talented and experienced staff to join our team. Collaboration with fellow kitchen team members will be essential to ensure that every creation meets our exacting standards of quality, flavour, and presentation.
Responsibilities:
? Prepare and bake speciality items as per the production requirements.
? Ensure use of high-quality and fresh ingredients in the right quantities
? Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
? Ensure that all output meets high standards of quality, taste, and presentation.
? Train and supervise junior staff and other kitchen staff as needed.
? Follow OHS requirements.
Training, Qualifications and Experience.
? A relevant and acceptable qualification, such as a Certificate III with a minimum of two years of on-the-job training, or an AQF Certificate IV, or another recognized qualification in Baking/ Pastry, is required.
? At least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
? Additional 2 years of relevant experience in lieu of the qualifications listed above will be considered.
Essential skills and competencies
? A strong understanding of baking processes, including knowledge of ingredients, mixing techniques, baking times, and temperatures.
? Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in traditional Italian bread and pastry making.
? Skilled in using specialized equipment.
? Able to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
? Communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
? Have Full Time working rights in Australia.
Terms and Salary
An annual remuneration between AUD$70,000 to AUD$73,000 plus superannuation will be paid to the right candidate.
