Requisition ID: REQ494719Applications close: 10 July 2024What you'll be doingTo provide Podiatry Services within a Primary Health Care Setting, including assessment, treatment, therapy and education that targets High Risk, frail, aged and disabled persons at risk of premature hospitalisation from Podiatry related conditions.Provide timely access to high-risk foot clinics and ensure compliance with NSW Department of Health Infection Control Guidelines.Facilitate the provision of services to the Aboriginal Community residing in the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD).Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s. - Tertiary Qualifications in Podiatry and ability to gain registration with the Australian Health practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Demonstrated clinical knowledge and extensive post-graduate experience in the management of high-risk foot pathology (including ulceration, infection, neuro-arthropathy, and post-amputation management).
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve and set priorities in complex situations through the application of well developed interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to research and quality improvement, with the ability to contribute to planning, implementation, and evaluation of services across the district.
- Demonstrated ability to provide senior level of mentoring, clinical supervision and support to staff and students with evidence of the ability to build and maintain co-operative professional and therapeutic relationships with key stakeholders and patients
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
- Demonstrated commitment to participating in and providing ongoing professional development in the area of high-risk foot pathology, utilising evidence based practice.
- Valid unrestricted Drivers Licence for use in New South Wales/Australia and ability to travel as required
