A highly motivated and experienced Policy and Project Advisor is needed to support the department’s Safeguarding PII Project on a fixed-term basis until 30/06/25. This is an opportunity to join the Victorian public sector as part of a collaborative and high performing branch with a track record of delivering successful large-scale projects
In order to deliver, regulate and support education services, the department routinely collects and stores a vast amount of personally identifiable information (PII) in schools and corporate settings. It is critical that the department safeguards the PII it is accountable for and that all staff understand how to appropriately handle PII.
A highly motivated and experienced Policy and Project Advisor is needed to support the department's Safeguarding PII Project on a fixed-term basis until 30/06/25. This is an opportunity to join the Victorian public sector as part of a collaborative and high performing branch with a track record of delivering successful large-scale projects.
As a Policy and Project Advisor you will support the Safeguarding PII Project by:
assisting with the monitoring of project delivery
contributing to project papers and reports that support decision-making and oversight
collaborating with internal and external stakeholders through various communication channels (e.g. phone, face-to-face, shared inbox) to support the project's activities
providing policy advice by applying an understanding of the department's legal, Policy and compliance requirements with regards to personal information.
The team works in a flexible and dynamic environment - sometimes you will be working on your own, sometimes with others.
