3 month contract with possibly of extension
Paying up to $700 per day plus super
Offices based in Sydney CBD and flexible working
Provide representation, legal advice & other legal services to departmental officers on matters arising in employment law for this NSW Government Agency.
About the role:
Undertake research and develop policy on issues of a legal, legislative or administrative nature
Undertake and report on projects
Undertake work involving legal and social research to develop proposals for legislative or policy reform to issues of judicial, government or community concern
Co-ordinate and participate in meetings with stakeholders and effectively represent the interests of the Chief Magistrate and the Local Court on committees
About you:
Tertiary Qualifications in Law and admitted (or eligible to be admitted) to the legal profession under the Legal Profession Act 2004 or a corresponding law.
Admitted as a Solicitor of the NSW Supreme Court including demonstrated experience in effectively briefing and instructing counsel.
Ability to develop policy in a legal environment.
