Details: ACT Corrective Services (ACTCS) is seeking applications from highly motivated, experienced and suitable individuals to join the Policy and Risk Management team, as a Policy Support Officer (ASO5). This is a temporary vacancy, available for six months.
The Policy Support Officer will provide administrative support across the Policy and Risk Management team, contributing to policy development, and working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for conducting jurisdictional scans and reviewing legislation and relevant research, to support the development of policies and operating and operating procedures.
Further to this, you will contribute to briefs, correspondence, speeches and other vehicles of policy advice on operational and strategic policy issues, the application and interpretation of relevant legislation and whole-of-government policies, and recommendations relating to policy.
To be successful in the role, demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, coupled with a detail and solution-oriented approach.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
- Prior experience in human services policy development, corrective services, or relevant qualifications in social sciences or law would be an advantage.
- The successful candidate will be required to undergo a National Police check.
