Due to recent expansion, Norton is seeking an enthusiastic Dewatering Technician (Poly Welder/TA) to join our growing Open Pit Technical Service team.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the mechanical systems and components across Paddington Operations’ mining operations, site services and dewatering, in a safe and efficient manner.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Regular inspections of the work area to identify hazards, damage and defects.
- Basic repairs and servicing of pumps and compressors.
- Installation and maintenance of pipelines and associated equipment as directed.
- Assist with Butt and Electrofusion welding of plastic pipes.
- Diagnosis of faults and breakdowns.
- Undertaking repairs and component changeouts, where required.
- Regular inspections of tools and equipment, ensuring good working order.
ABOUT YOU
- Valid unrestricted Western Australian Driver's License (Essential)
- Experienced in mine site dewatering with mechanical expertise in pumps (Highly Regarded)
- Poly welding ticket (Highly Regarded)
- Previous experience in an Open-Pit/Cut mining environment (Desirable).
- Certifications in Forklift, EWP, and CN Crane operations
- Basic computer skills
- Open to applicants with experience as a Polywelder, Boilermaker, Maintenance Tech, Fitter, or Trade Assistant!
