The Portfolio Analyst is responsible for supporting the governance of Fortescue's capital project portfolio. This role is accountable for detailed project and portfolio analysis, providing crucial insights for informed decision-making. The successful candidate will leverage strong analytics and project management/engineering experience to drive capital optimization and project improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analysis to provide insights and report portfolio risk and project performance across the portfolio.
- Administer and govern portfolio prioritisation and ranking methodology, ensuring its currency and accuracy.
- Support SME project reviews, through the development and maintenance of project portfolio registers.
- Ensuring data requirements are fit for purpose and actively engage with Commercial and Business Planning to achieve desired analytics and reporting outcomes.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent.
- Significant experience in data analytics, particularly in the context of project lifecycles and portfolio management
- Proven track record in project management/engineering roles, with a focus on mining operations.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in project management methodologies and tools.
- Familiarity with mining operations and engineering practices.
