Job description

  • Join our fun and supportive multidisciplinary teams with WFH flexibility
  • One of Australia’s largest and leading Allied Health services providers
  • Gain access to the best professional development and mentors in the industry.

The ORS Positive Behaviour Support division is expanding and we are seeking our next clinician to join us! You will join a national team of 300+ Psychologists & Counsellors providing clinical services to NDIS participants aged 0-65. You will work across early intervention, school age, adolescent and adult services with clients who have various presentations, diagnoses and disability types.

You will get to work with an amazing group of clients over a period of months or even years. You will play an integral part in their personal growth and development, working together to meet their goals. You will form a close bond with your clients and celebrate their achievements together, every step of the way.

Your day to day duties will involve working with allied health practitioners, support workers and family members to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients. You will assess and observe participants challenging behaviours and work towards increasing skills, improving emotion regulation and introducing replacement behaviours to reduce the use of restrictive practices.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans and assessments focus on increasing a person’s quality of life including improving their skills and enhancing their independence. You will develop a plan and implement with training and regular follow up and review

Work Life Balance

The ORS executive team really believes in the benefits of a healthy work life balance. Many of us have families and lead busy lives outside of work so we know how important it is for our staff to maintain a balanced lifestyle. For this reason we:

  • Provide the resources for our staff to be able to work from home
  • Aim to allocate clients close to your home

  • Provide suburban office locations with free onsite and local parking
  • Give you the ability to work part time or reduced hours

Learning and Development

At ORS we truly value the clinical and professional development of our staff. That is why we have four dedicated Learning & Development Managers in the Positive Behaviour Support division who all possess many years of diverse clinical experience, extensive background in university lecturing, and impressive qualifications. You will be able to connect with these individuals in one on one and group training sessions, plus have the ability to email or pick up the phone at any time to ask their advice on complex cases. This resource is in addition to the many Managers and Team Leaders we have on staff!

A few requirements:

  • Qualifications in Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences, Criminology, Childhood Education & Care, Health Science, Allied Health or Nursing
  • NDIS Registration as a Behaviour Practitioner (or the ability to become registered)
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses (desirable)
  • A car and licence
  • A National Police Clearance, Working With Children/Working with Vulnerable People Check & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance or able to get one for a client facing role (or willingness to obtain one before commencement)
