Academic Level A6 - $93,237 p.a. plus up to 17% superannuation
About the role
The Post-Doctoral Fellow will support the delivery of funded research projects (Intelligent Power Inverter for Community Microgrids) by contributing to power converter circuit topologies, control algorithms, digital implementation, communication, and field testing.
You will contribute to:
research in power converter design, control development and testing;
delivering projects in smart microgrids and Renewable Energy technologies;
conduct of research and high-quality outputs; and
contribute to the preparation of presentations and other materials and participate in relevant meetings and activities.
About you
Working under the broad direction of the Project Leaders and Director, Centre for New Energy Transition Research you will liaise with stakeholders and research partners.
You will possess:
knowledge and experience in power electronic converters and their control methods, communication technologies such as ZigBee, wifi, Bluetooth, etc. and simulation skills in MATLAB/Simulink or equivalent.
experiment skills in digital signal processors, programming, and circuit testing and experience in using various laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, power sources, etc.
research experience including undertaking literature searches, database management, preparation and publication of research findings/evidence of publication in high-quality academic journals or other equally recognised relevant research production; and
project management experience with multiple industries and stakeholders.
