About the Role
The primary role of the Post Office Counter Operator is to assist our customers with their postal needs. Their responsibilities may include:
- Assist customers with general postal queries
- Accept mail items for lodgment
- Process customer sales and service transactions
- Promote product and services through up selling and cross-selling
- Assist with general administrative duties
- Creating appropriate customer relationships that allow ever-growing business
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant should have the following:
- Knowledge and previous experience using Australia Post’s EPOS system is desirable
- Previous retail experience desirable
- Exceptional customer service
- Strong communication skills between all stakeholders
- Dedicated work ethic
- Initiative to work independently
- Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
- Willingness to learn and grow with the business
- Eye for detail and accuracy
If successful, you will also be trained up to be able to work on the Pharmacy side of the business. Skills that you will be equipped with include but are not limited to:
- Assisting customers with general queries
- Replenishing stock and maintaining inventory levels
- Setting up displays for catalogue promotions
- Assisting in the dispensary with scripts in/out
