Job Description
Applications are invited for the position of Postdoctoral Clinician Scientist at Biosceptre. The successful applicant will conduct and provide support to the Director of Research, both as part of a team and independently, for the optimisation, preclinical and early-stage clinical development of best-in-class chimeric antigen receptor T Cell (CAR T) therapeutics.
Key Responsibilities:
Arrange, conduct and support research experiments and projects both independently and apart of a team;
Supervise and provide assistance, guidance and training to other members of the research team;
Maintain accurate records and be involved in the databasing of results and shared laboratory resources;
Participate in shared tasks related to the operation of the laboratory;
Undertake administrative duties relevant to research activities;
Actively participate in laboratory research meetings;
Contribute to the preparation of reports and papers;
Be aware of cutting-edge research techniques and develop and maintain contact with a collaborative group of scientists;
Assist in preparation of grant applications;
Assist in the peer review of grant applications and manuscripts;
Qualifications:
PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific field (required) and medical qualification (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in CAR T research (required).
Proficiency in lentivirus and CAR T development (required), additional proficiency in antibody development (preferred).
