Pr Account Coordinator

Award-winning financial services communications agency Madden & Assoc. has an opening for a PR Account Coordinator to support the Management team and consultants in providing high quality communication services to Madden clients.

Our work is largely focused on planning and developing effective communications strategy, acting as trusted communication counsel to our clients. Our services include traditional and digital media management, media training, investor relations, crisis communication and reputation management.

This is a unique career opportunity, giving you the chance to understand how high-level communication impacts decision making within the financial services and corporate sectors. You will have a chance to participate and learn foundational skills to help you progress and launch into your career. As Madden is a boutique firm, you will have the opportunity to work closely with and learn directly from senior management, as well as gain greater exposure to client-facing work within the role. This is a hybrid role with the opportunity to work from home up to 2 days a week.

Responsibilities of the role include:

• Assisting and reporting to your manager to manage daily workload and learning how to prioritise deadlines
• Monitoring and reporting on client media and social media activity 
• Developing and maintaining media lists
• Continuing to build and engage with existing Madden social media accounts
• Assisting in executing media events and being on-site to help team members coordinate client and team events when required
• Participating as an active and interested team member, providing support to colleagues and taking every opportunity presented to learn and develop

The right applicant must possess a relevant Bachelors or tertiary qualification. You bring excellent time management and organisation skills, and be willing to learn with a proactive, can-do approach. You would have an interest in understanding the professional and growing demands of the financial world in which our agency operates.
