Practice Coordinator

The Position

Unique Dental Care is looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Practice coordinator  to help run our busy practice located in Deakin, ACT. We are a family owned and operated practice providing a warm and friendly environment for our patients. 

The Role

• Full time hours 
• Greeting and welcoming patients, ensuring a warm and inviting atmosphere. 
• Scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records of patient information. 
• Answering phone calls and responding to inquiries
• Ensuring strict compliance with privacy regulations and maintaining utmost confidentiality of patient information. 
• Coordinate with dental hygienists, assistants, and dentists to facilitate smooth patient flow and minimize wait times.
• Providing support to staff through management of schedules and coordination of duties
• Patient management: following up leads, explaining treatment plans, organize patient finances and payment plans
• Hiring staff when needed 

Required criteria

• Prior experience in a management role. 
• Microsoft Office and Google Drive proficiency 
• Basic understanding of dentistry 

Desirable criteria

• Experience with front office and administration software
• Experience with Dental Software preferred 
• Proven empathetic and compassionate approach when dealing with patients, with the ability to maintain a calm and reassuring demeanor
• Attention to detail and accuracy in managing patient information and financial transactions
• Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities to handle patient scheduling, record-keeping, and administrative tasks.
• Experience working within a team to meet common goals 
• Proven ability to work independently and prioritize a task list
