SalaryWe are looking for a receptionist (2-3 days/week) to join our specialist eye clinic in the commercial hub of Eastwood, close to public transport and a short 3-minute walk from Eastwood train station.

You will be joining a team of experienced eye specialist doctors and become a crucial member of a small, closely knit and friendly team with proven track record of delivering highest level of specialist care to patients, helping them to achieve their best vision. The successful applicant should have a can-do attitude and a keen willingness to learn.
All required training, guidance and support will be provided.
Candidates fluent in Korean or Mandarin, an advantage but not essential.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Communicating in a friendly & professional manner with patients/carers.
- Booking patient appointments & hospital admissions using Genie software.
- Processing payments from patients, Medicare or Health Funds.
- General administration & office duties.
- Liaising with other medical practices, hospitals & optometrists.
- Typing medical letters.
The successful candidate will have:
- Strong customer service & people skills.
- Strong computer literacy/skills & typing speed of over 50 wpm.
- Excellent time management skills & ability to multi-task.
- Able to work both independently & collaboratively in a team.
- Well presented & friendly with a professional attitude.
- Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
- Friendly & polite telephone manner.
Desirable but not necessary:
- Ability to speak an additional language, in particular Korean.
- Prior Medical Receptionist or customer service/retail work experience.
- Experience with our medical practice software (Genie).
- Lives close by & are flexible to job share with other staff member.
