About You
An excellent communicator with a can-do attitude and an ability to partner with Clinical Mental Health staff you will be responsible for building a strong and innovative partnership with the team at South West Healthcare to deliver the high performing Warrnambool located PARC program.
With a passion for coaching and developing individuals, you will be motivated by seeing people gain independence, competence and engagement with others. You will be a skilled mental health clinician with proven experience supporting those experiencing mental health with their recovery. 

Additional attributes we are looking for include:

  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health and a good understanding of dual diagnoses
  • The ability to think outside the box and make decisions autonomously.
  • A willingness to work in a flexible and agile manner, being open to new ideas and have a creative way of thinking.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Mental Health, Disability, Social Work, Psychology or other relevant qualification.


We take appropriate actions to ensure that our staff and the people we support are as safe as possible. You will be expected to adhere to all OHS standards, requirements and processes, including (but not limited to) wearing appropriate PPE and regular hygiene and cleanliness practices. 


About the Role
Ngootyoong PARC consists of an 8-bed short term, 5 bed extended stay option and a day program. This role is responsible for leading high-quality practice for both staff and the visitors we support in a Prevention and Recovery Care Unit (PARC) operated by South West Healthcare.  

The role entails:

  • Working collaboratively with South West Health Care clinicians to deliver a wellbeing program that meets the recovery needs of people who are staying at PARC
  • Overseeing the daily operations of PARCS including rostering and ensuring staffing requirements are meet
  • Leading, developing and coaching a team. Providing supervision, support and guidance. 
  • Generating reports, meeting KPI’s and driving continuous improvement
  • Developing and facilitating groups and providing 1:1 support to visitors
  • Participating in joint referral assessments with South West Healthcare clinical team


It is a requirement of this position to meet all compliance requirements concerning NDIS Work Screening, Working With Children's Check, work rights and possess a current & valid driver’s licence.
