About the role
South West Healthcare is seeking a Senior Trade Assistant to assist in performing general maintenance tasks across the health service.
This key role within the building and infrastructure team performs labouring work in relation to building works and alterations, in-service safety inspections and testing of electrical equipment in accordance with applicable standards and regulations and the monitoring and maintenance of boilers and hospital beds.
As this role is critical to the day-to-day functions of the health service this role is required to work after-hours and is also a part of an on-call roster across the wider team.
This position is a permanent full-time position inclusive of an ADO entitlement.
What you bring
The successful candidate will be experienced in a broad range of maintenance skills. It is expected that the incumbent in the role will possess good communication skills and be able to develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
The employee within this role will have well developed computer literacy particularly in understanding and using computer programs and is able to work autonomously and as part of a team as tasks determine.
An open-mind and an ability to work in a changing environment with skills specific to problem-solving are highly regarded.
