KWCC provides safe and supportive accommodation for women and children experiencing domestic and family violence.
It is a healing environment that works with all members of the family in a way which enriches women’s lives by supporting their individual choices.
KWCC strives to make systemic change by working closely with other service providers to prevent violence.
About the Program
The Practice Manager will oversee staff who provide direct service delivery across the service programs of KWCC, including but not limited to:
- The Katherine Women’s Crisis Service which provides crisis
accommodation and related support services to women and children escaping domestic, family and sexual violence across the Katherine region.
- The Critical Intervention Outreach Service (CIOS) which provides
specialist domestic, family and sexual violence outreach support services to the Katherine community and surrounding town camps using culturally appropriate best practice approaches to; reduce the incidence and impact of domestic, family and sexual violence and to strengthen the capacity of women, families and communities to improve their own wellbeing and safety.
- The Walking Together program which provides a family centric, trauma informed youth service that aims to reduce and prevent domestic, family and sexual violence and enhance both intimate partner and family relationships.

The Position Overview
The Practice Manager will be responsible to ensure the services provided are of a high standard, are reflective of the needs of the people using the service as well as maintaining the philosophy of the organisation. The Manager will ensure professional standards are maintained and that service provision reflects and adheres to relevant Government Policies and Legislation, as well as Organisational policies and procedures.
