Our client a well established Specialist based in Spring Hill is seeking an experienced Senior Medical Secretary / Practice Manager to run his busy practice that is centred around Medico-legal reporting. This role has the hallmarks of being a “forever” role and therefore, we are seeking a grounded and mature individual with an exceptional work ethic.
The role is permanent part-time (four days per week) and the successful candidate will need to have exceptional organisational and customer service skills, be friendly, motivated, able to work autonomously and desire ownership of their role. Given the nature of the speciality, the utmost confidentiality is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Providing secretarial support to the principal specialist and possess the ability to on-board new practitioners to the practice in due course
- Diary management and patient bookings
- Taking of incoming phone calls and assisting with enquiries including emails, medical objects
- Liaising with law firms, collating of medicolegal documents received in preparation for consult
- Managing patient appointments for consultations and ensuring high levels of customer service are maintained
- Directing enquiries to the relevant point of contact
- Billing / receipting of patient clinic accounts and third party invoicing
- General administration - scanning, importing of documents
- Typing skills (medicolegal reports typed externally) but some typing required
Skills and Experience
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills
- Experience with medical software programs essential. GENIE experience highly favoured.
- Strong organisational, attention to detail and time management skills
- Prioritising and completing tasks
- High level of patient care and customer service, with always the utmost discretion
- Proven experience in successfully working independently
- At least 3 years' experience working within a specialist medical practice
- Articulate and demonstrate a high level
