Form of workDalyellup Family Medical Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate RN to become a key team member, who works collaboratively with our experienced team, to provide high quality, supportive and comprehensive care in our busy Medical Practice. This is a part time position (FTE 0.8 - 32 hours per week) with availability for some leave relief.
It is an important role in a very friendly and supportive workplace setting.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Provide a high level of primary care for patients including wound care, infusions and medical assessments.
- Triaging patients and prioritising of emergency situations
- Assist Doctors in a wide range of medical and minor surgical procedures.
- Administering vaccinations for patients across all age groups
- Sterilisation of instruments, management of equipment and appropriate documentation
- Maintaining stock and ordering medical supplies
- Cold chain management.
- Involvement in maintaining the practice register for recalls, reminders and results
Essential:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with CPD
- Immunisation Certificate or be prepared to work towards this
- Excellent communication, organisation and documentation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
Desirable:
- Previous experience in general practice or community primary care setting
- Strong computer skills are an advantage
