Role Overview:
St. Luke's GP Medical Group cares for our community, especially our older patients. As a Practice Nurse, you'll help provide top-notch care to our patients, especially seniors. You'll also help train new nurses as you will be supported.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Patient Care:
- Help patients, especially seniors, with health needs like vaccinations, wound care, care plans, health assessments and medication.
- Work with doctors to make sure patients get the right care. Working within Medicare parametres as required. Maintaining equipment and supplies.
2. Education and Training:
- Teach and support new nurses as they join our team.
- Share best practices to help everyone learn and grow.
3. Record-Keeping and Rules:
- Keep accurate records of patient care, including equipment and supplies
- Follow safety rules and make sure we're doing things the right way.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Nursing degree and state license.
- Experience in nursing, especially with older patients.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to keep learning and growing.
