Bass Coast Health (BCH) is the sub-regional health service for the Bass Coast and South Gippsland Shires, with sites at Wonthaggi, Cowes, San Remo.

Position Summary
The Pre-Ana facilitate the flow of optimised pre-anaesthetic patients to the Bass Coast Health Elective Surgery Waiting List (ESWL), ensuring efficient and patient focused treatment according to the principles in the Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) Elective Surgery Access Policy (ESAP) and Bass Coast Health Elective Surgery Policies and Clinical Guidelines.
Requirements of the position are:
- A Registered Nurse – holding a current Registration Certificate as required by AHPRA
- A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience and knowledge of peri-operative service
- Proven ability to analyse and interpret information; assess, plan, escalate and manage clinical care
- Demonstrated excellent communication and documentation skills in written, electronic and verbal form, and ability to relate to a variety of demographics.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient centred care
- Demonstrated commitment to meet KPIs and associated quality improvements to ensure compliance
- Valid Police Check
- Working with Children Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination in accordance with the Chief Health officer COVID-19 Mandatory vaccination Directions
- Flu Vaccination
