Our client is a leading pre-cast concrete manufacturer based in Devonport. They supply a range of pre-cast products for various sectors, including civil, commercial, residential, and industrial. With a modern and well-equipped facility, a dedicated and skilled team, and a strong reputation for excellence in the industry. They are currently looking for an experienced Pre-Cast Formwork Carpenter.
Your New Role
As a Pre-Cast Formwork Carpenter, you will be responsible for building and assembling pre-cast concrete forms, following the specifications and drawings provided. You will also be involved in setting up and stripping the forms, applying finishes and coatings, and assisting with the loading and unloading of the pre-cast products. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Constructing and installing pre-cast concrete forms, using hand and power tools
- Measuring and cutting materials, such as timber, plywood, and steel
- Ensuring the forms are aligned, levelled, and secured properly
- Applying sealants, release agents, and curing compounds to the forms
- Repairing and maintaining the forms and equipment
- Working safely and efficiently, adhering to the company's policies and procedures
What you will need to succeed
- Previous experience as a Pre-Cast Formwork Carpenter or a similar role in the pre-cast industry
- Strong knowledge of pre-cast concrete technology, methods, and standards
- High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and quality
- Good communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
- Positive, proactive, and customer-oriented attitude
- Relevant trade qualification or certificate in carpentry (preferred)
- Valid driver's licence (preferred)
