Form of workWe keep growing and with that comes an awesome permanent, full time role for a Trades Assistant to join our state-of-the- art workshop and experienced team in Wacol. You'll fit after-market accessories, do minor repairs & rectification, quality checks and learn about all kinds of Diesel Engines and On-Highway machinery.
About the job:
- You'll work in our busy workshop, with work orders assigned to you, you'll get the job done
- Move heavy vehicles, collect parts and use forklift or company vehicle as required
- Test parts, accessories and equipment to make sure its at our high standard
- Keep track of tools and equipment, ensuring clean and safe storage
- Complete paperwork and records as required
About you:
- You've got a mechanical mind, with an interest in automotive - preferably heavy vehicle
- With some previous assembly or trades assistant experience, you'll have a safety-first approach with an eye for detail and desire to keep things organised
- You'll be focussed and goal oriented, ensuring all your tasks are completed in a safe manner
- Not afraid to ask for help - we all have to learn somewhere!
- You've got skills with hand and power tools, enjoy problem solving and love working in a team environment
- Reliable, punctual and proud of what you and your team accomplish
