A bit about the role
The PSFO Service is jointly funded through the State Government and Wyndham City and delivers additional support to eligible children attending any state funded kindergarten program within the municipality.
In the position of PSFO Administration Support Officer, you will be reporting to the PSFO Area Leader and have the opportunity to work collaboratively with a range of highly skilled professionals within the Family Sector and Partnerships Unit.
You will be responsible for providing quality administrative and customer service support for the PSFO Team and play a role in ensuring an efficient intake process for children with additional needs into the service. This part time position will be required to work 15 hours across Thursday and Friday.
Your outstanding communication skills and ability to work in a fast paced and evolving environment will see you succeed in this role, and contribute to the development of continual improvement activity.
Our team is at the centre of supporting an integrated service approach, where practitioners work collaboratively together to deliver services, support children, families and our communities.
What you will deliver
- Client intake using the Kindergarten Information management System (KIMS)
- Allocation of clients
- Data management and report coordination
- Efficient, accurate and timely response to all enquiries
- Support to the PSFO Area Leader
What you will bring
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- High level customer service and problem resolution skills
- Satisfactory completion of VCE/VCAL/HSC or equivalent or relevant administration experience.
- A current Victoria drivers licence
- Previous experience in Local Government and/or a general knowledge of the Community Support Department, specifically Family and Sector Partnerships Unit, is desirable.
