We have an opportunity for a highly motivated, meticulous and eager to learn individual to join the Canning Vale team on a full-time permanent basis as a Prep Bay Labourer.
The Prep Bay Labourer is an integral part of our business and will be involved in all paint and preparation duties, assisting in maintaining machinery and equipment to the highest standard.
Working Hours: Monday - Friday (7am - 5pm).
Roles and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Preparing machinery (Elevated work platforms, lighting towers, generators, and many more)
- Maintaining a high level of cleanliness and organisation to ensure a healthy and safe working environment for all.
- Receiving and dispatching of goods
- Safe and timely loading of equipment onto trucks.
- Cleaning and preparing surfaces.
- Painting a variety of surfaces and machinery including EWP's, Boom Lifts, Telehandlers, Forklifts.
The successful candidate will be an individual who will honour our core values of People, Safety, Respect, Communication, and Continuous Improvement - in addition to this they will have:
- A willingness to learn is non-negotiable, but previous experience within a similar role or industry is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of the preparation of surfaces for painting will be considered favorably, however we are willing to provide full training.
- EWP license is desirable however training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Ability to work both as a part of a team and autonomously.
- Ability to take direction from supervisors.
- Strong problem-solving skills
- A positive "can do" attitude.
- Understanding of plant-type equipment (EWP's, Boom lifts, Telehandlers, Forklifts, etc.)
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to work to strict timeframes.
- A commitment to working safely, in line with Company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen.
