ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to Queensland Manager, & site Operations Managers the Preservation E&I Technician will typically work as part of a small team to ensure the quality of E&I materials supplied from the warehouses are fit for purpose.
Specific Responsibilities
- Execute a day-to-day maintenance activity as assigned from end-to-end basis to enable high equipment reliability & plant availability
- Update maintenance records,
- Accountable to perform assigned Critical activities as per Process Safety requirements
- Drive high standard of personal accountability & performance to deliver the Site & Department goals and target
- Endure strict compliance with company safety policies and procedures
- Communicate verbally in writing to operators, employees, supervisors and others regarding the identification of problems with productivity
- Perform required production quality control check and analysis
- Perform preventative maintenance and assist in troubleshooting of potential issues
- Keep equipment clean
- Contribute to keeping process materials records and maintain good housekeeping practices
- Keep log records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to other shifts
- Understand and perform physical inventories
- Safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards
Qualifications and Experience
Mandatory requirements:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Formal trade qualifications – Electrical
- Experience in Managing contractors
- Ability to move up to 20kg
- High Risk License in Forklift (up to 16 T blade fork)
- Manual driver’s licence
- Ability to work well within a small team environment
- Dangerous Goods handling experience and qualifications
- Ability to work autonomously using proactive approach to task resolution
- Ability to be flexible and work in a variety of locations
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
Desirable skills:
- Forklift Licence up to 16 tonne
- Reach Stacker licence up to 3 Tonne
- Rigger and/or Dogman License
- Advanced skills using Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
- Oil spill response training
- Dangerous Goods handling experience and qualifications
