Pricing Actuary, Motor Insurance

Bluefin Resources is working exclusively with our general insurance client in Brisbane to recruit a Pricing Actuary for their Motor Insurance pricing team. This is a highly technical role and will be leading a small team to ensure pricing decisions are based on robust data driven analysis and a deep understanding of risk-based pricing.Key Responsibilities:

• Leading a team of analyst/senior analyst to perform end-to-end pricing for the Motor Insurance portfolio through data analysis, modelling and implementation.
• Conduct technical analysis including building predictive models.
• Managing and manipulating large and complex data sets.
• Provide insights of the market trends and recommendations on pricing.
• Managing stakeholder relationships and assisting in the development of new pricing strategies.

Role requirement:

• 5+ years of general insurance personal line pricing experience.
• FIAA preferred but not essential.
• Programming acumen in either SAS, SQL, R or Python.
• Experience with pricing techniques, GLM or GBM are highly favorable.
