Your New Role 

The Pricing Lead will be driving the team forward by implementing new pricing strategies in Australia, New Zealand and Singapore. This role will collaborate with Lines of Business leads (product category or market based) and marketing team members to ensure the correct execution of our pricing strategy. Once the transformation implemented, you will be developing and testing your pricing hypotheses from ideation to execution, in conjunction with both the Lines of Business leads and the Central Pricing team. 

What You Will Do 

• Developing a deep understanding of our pricing methodologies and supporting models to determine the efficient list prices and promotions for the ANZ line of business 
• Customer Culture- Influence a commercial customer-focused team mindset, leveraging data & analytics to create first class site experiences for our ANZ customers 
• Developing and implementing pricing strategies that enhance profitability 
• Analysing price change requests from the sales team by evaluating margin impact, potential incremental volume, and competitor price levels 
• Assist in creating promotional campaigns, and conducting pricing optimization and cost-benefit analysis 
• Extensive collaboration with both core collaborators across the business as well as with the central pricing team 
• Creating the overall roadmap for pricing optimization and testing strategy for ANZ 
• Creating, curating, and driving promotional offers in collaboration with business leads and marketing teams 
• Defining and implementing pricing strategies for a broad range of products. This includes identifying an opportunity, crafting a hypothesis, building impact assessments, obtaining agreement on the pricing recommendation and implementing the changes on the site 
• Tracking and measuring the success of the hypotheses 
• Communicating hypotheses and results of price changes/tests to a varied audience 
• Understanding competition and price elasticity of products and modelling scenarios to understand profitability impact of pricing changes 
• Mentoring others in the team 

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Proven experience working in an analytical role, ideally within a pricing or marketing team  
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent experience in mathematics, Economics/Business/Finance, Engineering, Operations Research 
• Statistics, Business or other related technical field. 
• Strong numerical, problem solving and analytical proficiency and be able to make data-based decisions 
• Work experience within an ecommerce environment is a plus 
• Ability to learn quickly and to apply new tools and techniques 
• Expert knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint 
• SQL experience a plus, but you will have the opportunity to learn it
