About the Role:
An exciting opportunity awaits a dedicated Primary Auslan teacher to become part of an F-6 school in Wyndham Vale, situated in Melbourne's West. This position is focused on instructing students as part of the specialist program, in Auslan The school is encouraging of new graduates, those with permission to teach, as well as experienced educators.
Key duties:
- Collaborate seamlessly within the Specialist teaching team, dedicated to educating students in Auslan across years F-6.
- Create comprehensive lesson plans, assessments, and curriculum materials in strict alignment with Australian curriculum standards.
- Provide captivating and impactful classroom instruction, cultivating a positive and dynamic learning environment.
- Demonstrate steadfast commitment to continuous professional growth and development, staying attuned to the evolving educational landscape.
- Embrace and uphold the school's educational philosophy, seamlessly integrating it into both teaching practices and personal ethos.
- Completed relevant Qualifications in Education
- Maintain a valid and up-to-date VIT registration
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia
- Demonstrate previous experience in teaching Auslan
- Ability to provide contact details for two education-based references from within the last 5 years (student-teacher mentors are acceptable).
- Starting as a full-time role in 2024
- Instructing students ranging from Foundation to Grade 6
- Collaborating with approachable and transparent leadership
- Plan and be part of a larger specialist cohort

- Around 1300 students spanning from Foundation to Grade 6
