About the Role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Primary Music Teacher to join our team at Buckley House, Ivanhoe Campus.
This part-time position (0.8 FTE) offers an exciting opportunity to shape the musical journey of our Primary and Early Learning Centre (ELC) students. It's a rewarding chance to instil a lifelong love of music and foster artistic expression in our young learners.
Your Everyday Working closely with the Head of Buckley House and Primary Pedagogical and Curriculum Leaders, the successful candidate will:
Be provided with growth coaching to evolve and improve their impact on student learning
develop a dynamic Music Program for ELC 3 to Year 6 students, offering opportunities for showcasing talents through instrumental and vocal performances, enhancing their musical journey
collaborate with the Instrumental Music Co-ordinator to seamlessly integrate music into the curriculum, while promoting and managing co-curricular music lessons and ensembles
offer specialised advice and assistance to classroom teachers as needed, fostering regular collaboration with educators spanning from ELC 3 to Year 6
ensuring the effective operation of the Primary Music budget to enhance student experience
foster and provide for student wellbeing of our students.
About You
Suitably qualified and experienced in teaching Primary Music
current Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) Registration
excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students and colleagues
passionate about student learning and professional growth
up to date knowledge of contemporary teaching application and theory
personal resilience in managing multiple demands and timelines.
