About the OpportunityReporting directly to the School Principal, this role is responsible for delivering high-quality education aligned with the Australian curriculum. Key duties include setting and maintaining academic and behavioural standards, delivering curriculum effectively, ensuring student well-being, and fostering community engagement through extracurricular activities.
Work hours are from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, with classes running from 8:00 am to 2:30 pm, allowing ample time for planning and preparation. The position offers a 3-year minimum contract, including a 6-month probation period, ensuring stability and fulfilment for the ideal candidate.
About YouTo qualify, you will need internationally recognised teaching qualifications, a current and valid teaching registration and demonstrated prior experience as a Teacher in a Primary School. A minimum of 3 years of experience working full-time at an Australian or International School, along with a passion for fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment, will also be essential.
Additionally, you must possess, or can obtain, the following:
- Current Working with Children Clearance
- Current Criminal History Check
- Covid-19 vaccination
The following skills and background will be highly valued:
- M.Ed Leadership (highly desired but not essential) and/or Bachelor of Education
- Sound to excellent understanding of the Australian Curriculum
- Extensive knowledge of programming and assessment practices at an international standard
- Must demonstrate exceptional written and oral language
- Foundation - Year 2 or Year 5 / 6 teaching experience (highly desired but not essential)
- Cultural sensitivity and good social skills
- Ability to engage children and parents from a wide range of backgrounds
