Peninsula Grammar School is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Lower Primary Years Teacher to join our Junior School team on a part-time (0.4 FTE - job share) basis for the remainder of the academic year 2024, Term 3 and Term 4. We are looking for enthusiastic and committed educators to join our professional and supportive community within our beautiful campus setting. This role involves covering long-term leave for our current staff and delivering high-quality education to our primary school students during the specified contract period.
The Primary Years Teacher will be responsible for:
- Planning and delivering engaging and comprehensive lessons in line with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
- Creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the individual needs of students.
- Assessing student progress, maintaining accurate records, and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and contribute to the overall improvement of the primary school program.
- Establishing positive relationships with students, parents, and carers to ensure effective communication and support for each child's educational journey.
About You
- A passion for fostering a love of learning in young children and a commitment to their holistic development.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Previous experience in co-educational, independent schools (preferred)
- Skilled in managing practical and project-based learning.
- Confident in using and adapting to new technologies.
- Experienced in working collaboratively with colleagues to plan and implement curriculum.
- Capable of working independently and within a team to achieve quality outcomes.
- Well-versed in modern educational methods emphasising critical thinking, problem-solving, innovation, and collaboration.
