Princess Highway Fashion Designer - Womenswear
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Designer to join a vibrant team at Princess Highway. We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic individual who is passionate about unique & inspiring fashion.
Our Designers are:

Duties will include:
  • Design seasonal ranges for the Brand from theme concepts ensuring Brand image and aesthetic are adhered to and comply with design budget.
  • Continuously undertake market research to ensure the brand remains on trend.
  • Identify, interpret and implement print and pattern trends.
  • Creates technical specifications for design styles.
  • Creates CAD Illustrations for styles.
  • Ensure styles are developed to agreed specification.
  • Sourcing fabrics and trims.
  • Fitting garments.
  • Preparing spec sheets and range books.
  • Approval of lab dips, prints, and embroideries.
  • Communicating with offshore factories, and monitoring the sampling process ensuring critical time lines are adhered to.
  • Contribute to marketing and photo shoot concepts and ideas.
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A hands on approach and enjoy the challenges of the apparel industry.
  • A good commercial acumen.
  • A keen eye for fashion and upcoming trends and the ability to translate this into unique designs.
  • Knowledge of garment construction and production methods to ensure high quality and correct fit is achieved.
  • A high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • 3 years experience in a similar fashion design role.
  • Ability to work in a fast based environment with tight deadlines.
  • Highly proficient in Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Textile design experience; ability to design seamless repeat yardages and offer alternate artwork/colour ways/scale, is preferred.
  • Undergraduate, tertiary or equivalent degree in Fashion Design.
