As the Principal Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) Developer you will be working within the Financial Business Systems (FBS) team which provides management and support for the department's SAP ERP 6.0 system. This position is offered on a full- time basis for a period of 7.5 months unless otherwise determined.

Your role:
As the Principal ABAP Developer you will be working within the Financial Business Systems (FBS) team which provides management and support for the departments' SAP ERP 6.0 system. Components used include ECC (FICO, AA, IM, PS, MM, and PM), BW, PI and Solution Manager. As the Principal ABAP Developer you will:
- Perform SAP developments using SAP development technologies, including ABAP programming, Fiori UI5 technologies (including OData, Gateway, and Launchpad), ABAP Web Dynpro, PI, Workflow, Portal and Forms.
- Align developments to the Software Development Life Cycle, including specification, code development, unit testing and applying existing standards and change and release management practices.
Financial Business Systems is seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Developer who has proven experience in:
- In advance ABAP development including Object Oriented ABAP Programming, ABAP Web Dynpro, LSMW, ALE, EDI, IDoc, RFC, BAPI, Smart Forms, Interactive Forms, workflow development.
- UI5 Fiori Applications Development and Fiori Launchpad Administration.
- Assessing SAP notes for problem solving and security patching.
- Providing development support and enhancements of on-Premise SAP systems, including ECC, SAP NetWeaver, Process Integration (PI), Fiori and Portal.
Our ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Minimum 5 year ABAP programming experience, including:
- A minimum of 2 full life cycle implementations.
- General understanding of NetWeaver Portal Administration.
- Experience with assessing SAP notes and understanding it's applications.
- Delivering quality services and/or solutions that meet business requirements and ensure that goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
- Provide technical consulting and support to the team.
- Providing knowledge transfer and mentoring other developers as required.
