About the Role:
The Principal Advisor, Restoration is responsible for providing leadership in the provision of scientific advice and to develop the strategic direction of restoration and conservation projects. The role is responsible for ensuring scientific advice is credible, rigorous and fit for purpose, leading to the development and implementation of adaptive evidence based ecological conservation strategies and projects, with a focus on wetland restoration. The role will lead the development of funding proposals and delivery of environmental projects in effective partnership with key stakeholders across DEW, Universities, State Government agencies, First Nations groups and the broader community.

Contract:
Contract for up to 12 months
Essential Qualifications:
A degree in Science related to natural resource management, restoration of degraded coastal/aquatic/marine ecosystems or ecological function discipline is essential. Postgraduate qualifications in a related discipline or equivalent on the job experience are required
Special Conditions:
- Intrastate and interstate travel including overnight absences may be required
- Will be required to participate in fire management or associated duties
- Out of hours work may be required
- Must hold a current drivers licence
Remuneration:
PO4 - $109,060 min - $118,690 max p.a.
