About the role
Reporting to the Manager - Strategy & Planning, this role is responsible for leading the development of program architecture roadmaps in alignment with the overall ITG roadmap. You will be the central point for the architecture management and supervision across all the various project portfolios, all whilst supporting your Stakeholders in the requirement analysis aspects to the solution development stages.
With your extensive experience in complex systems and program architecture, your role will be to oversee the design and development of complex solutions. You will provide your Stakeholders with guidance on what our best practises should look like and define the roadmap on how applications will change to achieve business goals.
You bring your expertise to this collaborative, curious and helpful team. We’ll help you develop with enterprise architecture methodology training, along with strategy, planning and high-level technical training.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will be degree qualified in a relevant discipline (Computer Science or Management Information System) and will have extensive experience in Enterprise or Solution Architecture with a particular focus on complex enterprise environments. You will also have a strong knowledge of the IT infrastructure & IT landscape with highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills.
What the role will involve
- Participating in the development of program architecture roadmaps in alignment with the overall data and technology strategy.
- Provide clarity to the team and the wider business about the future direction of our large number of applications.
- Lead architecture impact assessments to determine the impact on the architecture landscape of proposed initiatives/investments and provide related advice and recommendations.
- Review and provide feedback on project architectural deliverables to ensure alignment to corporate objectives, policies/standards and the overall intent.
- Provide an applications assessment by analysing and documenting current state of the corporations application portfolio.
- Influence and guide the strategic direction of technology investments to assist in the development of the enterprise architecture and maximise the return on technology investment.
- Perform a gap analysis to identify what needs to be done and build a strategic roadmap to address the results of the gap analysis.
- Define the milestones between current and future state to keep progress on track.
- Provide direction, guidance and knowledge to enterprise and solution architects and project teams.
- Monitor new advances in information technologies and provide recommendations for when and how they are utilised.
