So, if you’re an innovative and forward-thinking individual who values collaboration, is aware of the upcoming registration of Building Engineers and would like to contribute to the monitoring of building services providers including structural engineers, then DEMIRS is the agency for you.The roleAs the Principal Building Engineer (Structural) you will form part of a dynamic audit team of building industry professionals who are responsible for the function of proactive strategies to monitor registered building service providers. Daily tasks for this role can include conducting audits of building work and preparing complex technical reports relating to structural engineering finds.Your ability to perform desktop-based reviews of engineering deliverables as part of the audit strategy of registered engineers and experience in liaising with other jurisdictions, Standards Australia and similar bodies will be key to your success in this role.We are looking for a knowledge leader with a continuous improvement mindset.   • Extensive knowledge of technical standards and work practices in the building industry.

  • A Bachelor degree in Structural/Civil Engineering (or equivalent) with eligibility for membership of Engineers Australia as a Professional Engineer.
