Participation in the Employee Share Plan Flexible working arrangements and industry leading parental leave and family care policy ABOUT THE ROLE This role is a Permanent position on a 40-hour week, DIDO from our Worsley Alumina Refinery, which is a short drive from Collie (15 minutes), Bunbury (35 minutes - bus available from Bunbury location only) and other nearby scenic communities. As the Principal Communications, you will use broad industry experience to design, and execute communications activities that enhance Worsley Alumina's reputation within its communities of influence while supporting high levels of engagement between the site leadership team and employees. Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: Designing innovative and engaging communications tools that foster a culture aligned to South32's values Leading the communications to embed a safety leadership culture that guarantees our people go home safe and well every shift. Working with leaders to share compelling stories about our operation and people. Fostering relationships with local media to proactively share Worsley's contribution to the Southwest and Peel Regions ABOUT YOU You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: Several years' experience in Corporate Affairs / Communications or related discipline Event management experience preferred Accomplished & persuasive written & verbal communication skills - the ability to simplify complex, technical information for a range of audiences Ability to manage timely media and communications deliverables Qualifications for this position are: Qualification in Communications, Public Relations or a related field South32 is committed to building and maintaining an inclusive and diverse workforce that reflects the communities in which we operate.
