Program Kaartdijin has been established to develop a functionally fit, technologically robust solution to replace the current School Information System (SISClassic) and include additional information capture and reportability. The Program focuses on providing short term solutions as well as a longer-term solution that meets the operational needs of schools and the reporting and management needs of the Department at large. The Program vision is to provide a contemporary administrative and finance solution connecting people, processes and systems for school communities now and into the future.
The new Kaartdijin Solution will replace the SISClassic suite of applications currently used in 800+ schools throughout Western Australia. The Department has contracted TechnologyOne as the provider of the core finance functionalities and Compass Education as the provider of the billing, student administration and school administration functionalities for schools.

The Role
Program Kaartdijin is seeking a highly dedicated and motivated individual for the role of Principal Consultant – Communications to join their team.
The Principal Consultant – Communications will provide professional and strategic management support to the Principal Program Director and wider team in leading, developing, implementing and coordinating strategic communication strategies, campaigns and change management strategies, ensuring outcomes align to the Program’s strategic direction and priorities.
Additionally, this individual will manage the development of content and publications pertaining to the Program, ensuring articulation with policy and Program requirements, for use on IKON and in associated products.
The successful applicant will be organised, personable, possess excellent written and verbal communication and time management. Will be able to prioritise tasks and effectively collaborate with multiple staff in multiple departments and contexts.

Eligibility and Training Requirements
Employees will be required to:
- provide evidence of eligibility to work in Australia for the term of the vacancy
- complete the Department’s induction program within three months of commencement
- complete the Department’s training in Accountable and Ethical Decision-Making within six months of appointment and every three years thereafter.
- complete the Department’s Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural awareness online course within 3 months of commencement
- complete any training specific to this role required by Departmental policy
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit prior to commencement of employment
