We are looking for an enthusiastic and talented individual to join the Office of the Auditor General (OAG) in their data journey by being part of the growing Strategic Business Intelligence unit as a L6 Principal Data Engineer. This unit is integral to the OAG obtaining the information products it needs to enhance its role as a leader in delivering data driven insights. You will be working closely with a highly experienced Director who was previously the head of Data Science and Analytics at the WA Police Force for many years.
As the Principal Data Engineer, you will lead and deliver the technical design, development and management of ETL/ELT from transactional systems, data pipelines, data architecture and databases. This is to support management, statistical and operational information provision and reporting. You will work in partnership with the Principal Data and Reporting Analyst to ensure required data is available in the right form at the right time.
We currently have one full time, permanent position available. Job share arrangements may be considered.
We are establishing a pool of candidates for full or part time, permanent and fixed term vacancies that arise until (30 November 2024). Fixed term appointments will have the possibility of permanency.
