This role will see you spending your days working on a large variety of tasks as part of the Engineering Certification team. You will take a lead role in assigning tasks and duties to Design Engineers, proving support and guidance along the way. You will be required to use your extensive experience in Development Design Engineering to manage more complex designs and advise management when and where necessary on any issues; providing recommendations. Some of the design assessments will include constructed wetlands, road intersections and trunk storm water drainage to name a few. 

This position is required to provide quality customer service and create value for the community.

Key activities of this role include:

• Co-ordinating Subdivision Works Certificate, Roads Act and associated applications to the Development Design Assessment staff
• Assessment of civil engineering designs and associated documentation of all complexities submitted to Council as part of applications for Subdivision Works Certificate
• Providing advice, feedback and peer review of applications for the Development Design Engineering group.

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $96.3K to $115.5K per annum dependent on skills and experience + 3.5% Civil Liability Allowance + 11% superannuation + Private Use Leaseback Vehicle. 

A leaseback vehicle is provided in this role for official duties and private use and your choice of vehicle will be provided when one becomes available in accordance with Council’s Vehicle Policy. In the meantime, either an alternate pre-used vehicle or a vehicle allowance of $200 per week ($10,450 per annum) is temporarily applied for this position due to ongoing issues with supply for new vehicles.

A 9 day fortnight work-cycle currently applies to this role with flexible/hybrid working arrangements available.
