A newly created position is now available for a highly skilled and motivated Principal Engineer (Water and Wastewater) to join their dynamic team. Working alongside the Sales Team, this role will provide technical expertise, critical problem solving and engineering excellence in the design, construction, and commissioning of commercial and domestic wastewater treatment applications.
You will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team of professionals and product specialists across the country, in delivering innovative sustainable solutions to an ever-growing market. The team consists of dedicated, high performing people within the water and wastewater industry.

- Advancing engineering designs for water and wastewater infrastructure projects for domestic and commercial applications.
- Undertaking engineering design, documentation, and certification of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, whilst working in collaboration with various customers and key stakeholders.
- Estimating and responding to request for quotations (RFQ’s) for all commercial related systems
- Collaboration and managing water, and wastewater engineering elements across a variety of complex multiple-disciplinary projects, including compliance and assurance related tasks.
- Develop detailed project briefs, scope of works, schedules, and project budgets for effective project planning and new product development.
- Provide expert support and advice, including problem resolution, to various stakeholders for the successful completion of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Industry participation in various industry and standards related working groups and committees.
- Team Lead in supporting and overseeing Research and Development related activities for commercial and domestic product range and associated applications.
- Single source for all compliance and assurance related activities regarding production conformance and certification.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and, or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the relevant water or wastewater engineering design.
- Experience in Info Works WS Pro (desirable)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of tackling complex challenges.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Technical proficiency across a broad range of areas in the water and civil sector.
- Skilled at solving complex problems, creating strategic plans, and communicating solutions effectively.
- Innovative and proactive, always looking for new ways to improve.
- The ability to identify and address strategic risks during project delivery.
- A positive team orientation and attitude which is dedicated to achieving project goals.
