Role description:
Arcadis are excited to again be growing their Water team. We are looking for enthusiastic water professionals to join our team to work on a range of water related projects with a focus on sustainability and resilience.
Role accountabilities:
- Develop hydrological and hydraulic flood models and related outputs such as reports;
- Develop water balance models for simple and complex systems;
- Develop technical inputs for proposals;
- Manage and mentor junior engineers;
- Contribute to the delivery of flood impact assessments and flood risk management plans as part of Integrated Water Management projects;
- Work on climate change adaptation, water optimisation and resilience related projects;
- Coordinate and verify designs including drawings, reports, specifications and studies with project teams working across multiple offices, including our international design hubs and other engineering disciplines;
- Help grow teams as well as both internal and external relationships;
- Embrace and promote a leading digital work environment and delivery culture; and
- Work in collaboration with other design disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Qualifications & Experience:
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable with experience in design of water infrastructure projects and come to us with:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience with modelling software such as TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB or RAFTS;
- Programming skills such as using Python;
- Water balance programs such GoldSim;
- GIS experience (ArcGIS, QGIS or MapInfo);
- Understanding of ARR2019 guidelines;
- Experience in several facets of the project lifecycle from tendering and concept design through to construction;
- Demonstrated self-management; the ability to work autonomously and take ownership of outcomes;
- Experience working with a variety of clients;
- Knowledge of relevant Australian standards, regulations and legislation;
- The desire to work collaboratively in a high performing team environment; and
- Ambition to grow your technical skills and personal influence.
