Principal Enterprise Risk Management Consultant

This is a key role in the Chief Risk Office; the department’s trusted source of expertise on public sector risk, enterprise risk governance, enterprise risk management and controls

Job Description:

The Principal Enterprise Risk Management Partner delivers and manages improvements to the development and oversight of the enterprise risk management policies, frameworks, standards, procedures, supporting tools and templates and drives embedding better risk management practices across the department

Responsibilities:

• Provide support to manage the successful and timely delivery of the risk transformation program and ongoing enhancements to embedding the integration of the enterprise risk strategy and risk management program 
• Provide enterprise risk management and risk governance advice and support to meet compliance requirements. 
• Monitor  the latest relevant legislative requirements, regulatory guidelines, industry practices and professional standards 
• Manage the oversight of the activities associated with coordinating, maintaining and embedding the relevant risk frameworks across the department
• Manage the development of quality of risk profiles, risk and control registers, core risk foundations uplifting quality of risk management identification, risk analysis, risk evaluation, risk treatment plans, risk monitoring, review and reporting. 
• Provide quality advice and support to help influence and drive improvements in effective enterprise risk management and risk governance.  
• Support embedding strong risk management disciplines in a sustainable efficient and effective way  
• Work across the department to deliver high quality, timely and effective risk information, insights and reporting  

Skills and experience:

• Significant experience in enterprise risk management in large complex organisations
• Experience in the development, implementation and oversight of enterprise risk management policies, frameworks, standards, procedures, supporting tools and templates
• Consulting experience highly regarded
• Relevant risk management certifications
• Tertiary qualified 
• Experience in education / public sector highly regarded
