Job description
Responsibilities:- Project Leadership: Lead and manage environmental consultancy projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Client Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored environmental solutions and recommendations.
- Technical Expertise: Provide expert guidance and oversight on a wide range of environmental issues, including but not limited to environmental impact assessments, remediation strategies, pollution control, and sustainability initiatives.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and develop a team of Environmental Consultants, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of relevant environmental regulations and standards, ensuring that projects comply with all applicable laws and requirements.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities for business growth and expansion, collaborating with the business development team to secure new projects and contracts.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with projects and develop proactive strategies to mitigate them effectively.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare comprehensive reports, assessments, and other project documentation for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory authorities.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team and across projects, incorporating feedback and lessons learned to enhance service delivery and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- 10-15 years of experience in environmental consultancy, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex projects and leading teams.
- In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and best practices.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex environmental issues and develop innovative solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
- Proven leadership abilities, with experience in mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Good knowledge on remediation/contaminated land/ground water/site investigation.
- Demonstrated business acumen and a track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Certified Environmental Professional certificate will be a must.
- Based in Sydney.
