Role accountabilities:

  • You will be responsible for leading elements of projects and collaborating with junior team members, taking responsibility for own resourcing and potentially resource allocation of others.
  • Work within a defined area of responsibility on projects with flooding elements. This will include being responsible for specific parts of a design package within a project.
  • Carry out technical reviews of hydrological and hydraulic models and be responsible for the development of others through providing guidance, training, and feedback.

  • Ensure that the delivery of flood modelling tasks, including meeting budget, time-frame and quality targets, exceeds client expectations.
  • Resolving technical flood modelling issues and providing solutions.

Qualifications & Experience:

First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life. You pride yourself for the part you play in transforming the world around you and understand the importance of teamwork. You are a technically capable Flooding Engineer with experience in drainage design for civil infrastructure or land development projects and come to us with:

  • Professional experience with TUFLOW (1D, 2D, combined 1D/2D) is an essential criterion.
  • Experience in Hydrologic analysis (e.g., RORB, RAFTS, etc.) and flood modelling with other hydraulic modelling packages such as HEC-RAS is desirable.
  • Experience in GIS software such as MapInfo, QGIS and/or ArcGIS.
  • Knowledge and experience in the application of ARR2019 guidelines.
  • Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice, and guidelines (TMR/Austroads standards).
